My name is Maureen Cavanagh. I am a long-time Visual Editor for both traditional and digital media, currently working as a photo editor at The New York Times. I have also worked at The Players’ Tribune media startup and Sports Illustrated magazine

I am a two-time POY award winner for photo editing, have been a Producer at the Eddie Adams Workshop and I am honored to be on the Board of Directors of the DPPF, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing career development to young photographers.

I’m a proud graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School and Columbia University School of Journalism
